Welcome to All Saints
Welcome to All Saints Episcopal Church in Bayside, New York, as we celebrate the First Sunday after the Epiphany: The Baptism of Our Lord, with the Holy Eucharist, Rite II, on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 10:30 a.m.
Today’s liturgy invites us to reflect on the baptism of Jesus in the Jordan River and God’s declaration: “This is my Son, the Beloved.” Our worship includes hymns such as “The People Who in Darkness Walked,” “The Sinless One to Jordan Came,” “O love, how deep, how broad, how high,” and “Hail to the Lord’s Anointed,” which echo the themes of light, calling, and divine love revealed in Christ.
The readings appointed for this day proclaim God’s work of justice and salvation: from the prophet Isaiah we hear of God’s chosen servant, the psalmist sings of the voice of the Lord in Psalm 29, the Acts of the Apostles recount Peter’s testimony to Jesus’ ministry, death, and resurrection, and in the Gospel according to Matthew we hear the story of Jesus’ baptism and the Spirit descending like a dove.
We are glad you are worshiping with us, whether in person or online, and pray that this service will deepen your faith and renew your baptismal calling to live as God’s beloved.
