Welcome to All Saints
Welcome to All Saints Episcopal Church in Bayside, New York. We are glad you are worshiping with us for The Third Sunday after the Epiphany, especially as a winter snowstorm affects Bayside and communities beyond. Whether you are able to be with us in person or are joining safely from home, you are a valued part of this worshiping community.
In this service of Holy Eucharist, Rite II, we hear scriptures that proclaim Christ as the light that shines in darkness and calls people into new life and shared purpose. Isaiah speaks of light dawning upon those who walked in darkness, the Psalm declares the Lord as our light and salvation, Saint Paul urges unity in Christ, and in the Gospel Jesus calls the first disciples to follow him. Together, these readings reflect the Epiphany season’s theme of revelation, calling, and faithful response.
We warmly invite our online congregation to participate fully from wherever you may be — pray the prayers, sing the hymns, and join in worship as the people of God gathered across many places. Our hymns today include The People Who in Darkness Walked, They Cast Their Nets in Galilee, Jesus Calls Us O’er the Tumult, My God, Thy Table Now Is Spread, and O Zion, Haste.
